Case Study:
Website Redevelopment
Blackall-Tambo Tourism is a Local Tourism Organisation (LTO) located in Queensland, Australia. It is operated by the Blackall Tambo Regional Council (BTRC)
The Blackall-Tambo region has an extensive history of cattle, sheep and wool production. Australia’s famous shearer, Jackie Howe lived and worked in our area. The region’s economy has diversified into other industries including cypress pine saw-milling and tourism.
featurist was engaged by the Blackall-Tambo Regional Council to redevelop their tourism website.
We worked closely with stakeholders to define requirements and delivered a new website aligned with their needs and objectives.
The solution was built on WordPress, offering a flexible and user-friendly content management experience. To support long-term sustainability, we implemented structured editing functionality, allowing staff to update content safely without compromising the site’s design integrity.
In addition to delivering a modern, responsive website, we incorporated features such as an events calendar, accommodation listings, and self-service content tools.
featurist delivered the website and conducted comprehensive staff training to support confident use of the new platform.
