The Outback Queensland Tourism Association (OQTA) is a Regional Tourism Organisation (RTO) located in Queensland, Australia.
Fuelled by tourism, OQTA drives visitors to one of the most largest tourism regions areas in Australia. We decided to enhance the visual identity and showcase their diverse and pioneering spirit through the website design.

OQTA approached featurist to get their website totally redeveloped.
We gathered their business requirements and designed a new website from scratch.
The website was built on WordPress, as this is a highly extensible platform and provides OQTA with the ability to self-manage the website content & assets, as well as easily add additional functionality when required.
featurist developed the website and provided full training to their staff on the use of the tools. In addition, we reviewed the their current email marketing and lead generation systems, upon which we determined that the organisation needed the tools that a CRM and Marketing Automation would provide.
The solution implemented was SharpSpring, as this platform offered a combined CRM & Marketing system, which was able to easily integrate with the new website platform.
SharpSpring also enabled the organisation to activate robust marketing automation processes, to reduce the manual interactions needed to keep tourists and members informed and happy.
Following on from this successful engagement, OQTA has engaged featurist numerous times, to continue the development of the website, as well as managing other assets that the organisation owns – such as their mobile app (Outback Mates).
